a red tailed hawk atop a steeple
after doing a bunch of zoom practice like all the pros do i finely got a chance to use the new found talent ... from the distance i was shooting and before it simply flew away .... another post for the steeplechase category as the hawk landed on a steeple ... got 3 shots one was blurry and heres the 2 good ones

technology of an electric lamps [lamp shade]
back to the lamp project as i build a new shade for it out of metal and polypropylene ... and i like the combination oriental lamp tall building look ... still a ways to go but i think i got pretty far and show it off so far ...

painted some lamp parts
back to the lamp and i got an empty tin with eight sides as i didnt like the look of the upside down dish of the lamp and found an easy way to extend the eight sided look i liked

the lamp glowing in the dark
found some no 5 plastic for the top of the lamp and its looking pretty good as it defuses light though the quality of plastic isnt as good as the laundry bucket lids itll work

spinning update on the lamp part project
decided to do a spinning animation of this lamp part project even though its not complete or even painted ... i think i have captured the essance of the orental paper lamps that i wanted in metal and plastic

the lamp part project begins
well first we got this lamp with a broken shade holder and it works fine but the shade needs a holder
...
so i made this light weight upside down hat looking thingy for the shade to set up on
...
so i put the shade up on it but i aint into red so i went about makeing my own shade from some blue and green laundry bucket tops
...
so i pop riveted the new cool shade together and thats about how far i got on the lamp part project so far click the pics to see em bigger even though i havent painted the metal parts yet and this project is far from done

it was my birthday and we figured we would ride the bus to the train downtown then we took the big train to fort worth from dallas and back and 5 hours later we returned home and it was most excellent and i got a bunch of video and heres one of em
