on a bike ride i figured i would stop in a creek to cool off in the shade and do a picture of my bike for the blog as most bikers have a pic of the bike but i had it in video mode getting a video of my bike instead ...a good one for the category jeffys bicycle muesum .. but mostly relaxing

my 2006 next shocker bike

a great post for jeffys bicycle museum cause this bike took more of a beating than any bike i had so far. I had this bike for about a month before i added those bars so click the pic to see about what date it was when i got it

my next avalon bike with bmx bars

finally i can keep my front tire up a little in heavy terrain and i got the seat up at the point where i am always standing on the pedals yet sitting too, its not perfict but close enough truley a great entry for both jeffys bicycle museum and the squeezedwords bicycle museum

today was a great day because i got a picture of her vertical bike for the world famous jeffys bicycle museum. I had some pictures of her bike but you could not see the whole bike so there it is bought at a garage sale about 10 years ago and still going. i enjoy riding it when my bike is down and it even bunny hops well

this bike became the parts bike for this bike when i tore off the de railer riding the solid tires threw mesquite thistles that got tangled up in the rear spokes

if you click the picture it will take you to my gallery in france where 3 years ago i published a nikon pic of my new bike at the time. now that nikon camera had a 3 gig sd so the pics were around 30 days from timeline accurate [every 30 days] i would move the pics from the camera to the computer and blog the best ones daily i kept this bike in repair myself and for the complex stuff i take it to the bike shop thats not trying to offload a trade in or sell me a new bike and here it is now many repairs later

my schwinn cruiser 30+ years ago

my first bike was a schwinn american with 16 inch solid tires, they put a bar across the top of the schwinn pixie girls bike and called it a boys bike till the bar came off and i was on to them, as a teen i got this schwinn cruiser it was slow but it never had any trouble for many years and it sold for half of what i payed for it and it looks a lot like the one i am riding now

the next shocker on a bike bridge

i got this bike at wall mart for 88 dollars and this bike took a lot of hard riding for years and i loved it so when this bikes big brother went on sale at wal mart for 89 dollars i pawned it and got its big brother

this was my next avalon comfort bike it was a good ride until i tore the de railer off going threw some woodland prickle bushes trail riding i eventually had to move the parts to the older bike for its good de railer

i got the opportunity to taste the flavor of riding this bike and this bike is certainly worthy of being in jeffys bicycle museum

jeffys bicycle museum raising the bar

after riding for hours hunkered down like a four legged animal i realized that i was a 2 legged animal and looked around for some bars with an 8 inch rise. i searched the internet even finding several bicycle museums leading to the new category called jeffys bicycle museum

eventually i found a friend with some 8 inch school box bars. though when i got them i knew right then that i would need to find some 8 inch rise used cw old school bmx bars to fit the shifter and brakes and handgrips all at once.

the idea was to create a oversized bmx out of this mountain bike as my solid tires allow me to ride anywhere  if i had the control and leverage of a 28 wide 8 high bar i could really throw down in the dirt

the old bike died but the rides still live

there it is the last picture of the old bike and all small bike ride pictures on this blog were done on this bike with the old camera ... its several bikes later and i wonder if i shouldnt have gotten a fancy bike on payments instead of several cheep bikes in a row
